Choose the Best Bread For Weight Loss

Bread for weight loss can be a tempting offering to people who are looking to shed a few pounds. Just look at the packaging - it's always pretty, it always tastes delicious, and it always has that fresh out of the oven feeling. Breading is actually a good comfort food, although sometimes love/hate relationship arises from it being the blame for everything, from bloating, IBS and weight gain. Indeed, bread is extremely low in calories and provides a good source of essential nutrients and fibre.

You probably already know that eating bread is good for you - or you wouldn't have gone off half-heartedly in it, right? It keeps you satisfied for longer, provides an occasional pick-me-up when sitting on the sofa or during a quick meal in the kitchen, and provides a variety of carbohydrates and protein, which provide your body with energy. The problem is that it doesn't always contain all the nutrients that you need to keep fit and healthy. In fact, there are many unhealthy refined sugars and starches which make eating bread more of a chore than anything else.

This is why breads made from whole grain ingredients and which contain no unnecessary artificial ingredients are always the best for you. If you want to lose weight and cut unhealthy ingredients from your diet, then here are a few ingredients to avoid and a few words of caution about how to cook the ingredients. Some ingredients are simply better avoided, especially in breads and baked goods where the flour used contains high amounts of starch and sugar.

Here are a few ingredients to never eat in any bread for weight loss product: refined sugar, high fructose corn syrup (high sugar content), hydrogenated oil, artificial flavourings, partially hydrogenated vegetable oils, salt and white vinegar. If you have to eat them, do so very few times and only in small quantities. Also, eat brown rice as a replacement for wheat because it has more nutrients and it tastes better. Eat oats instead of wheat. Both oats and oat bran have a high fiber content and they can help you keep regular bowel movements, which are absolutely necessary for your body to lose fat.

If you must eat bread for weight loss products then choose whole grain bread. You should also eat lots of fruit, vegetables and healthy protein sources. Whole grains come in three major varieties: brown, yellow and white. Choose the one which has the most vitamins.

Some breads like wheat bread or whole wheat flour can contain hidden ingredients which will not only take you a lot of time to find but will also leave you hungrier later on. Do check the ingredients list of any bread you are considering buying for the diet. Look for higher-quality ingredients like nuts, seeds and roots. You should also avoid breads with high fructose corn syrup and artificial sweeteners because these ingredients will make you gain weight.

When choosing bread for weight loss, try to go for wheat bread as they are the healthiest option. They have much more nutrients in them compared to their white counterparts. Choose the wheat bread that contains an anti-obesity ingredient called amylase. Amylase is known to break down the amyloid in your brain which is responsible for creating plaque in the arteries. So, the healthier choice would be the whole wheat bread that does not have this ingredient.

As far as the variety is concerned, feel free to choose any type of bread. But remember that whole wheat breads are the best option because they contain more nutritional value in them than their white counterparts. You should also stay away from the breads, which are made from white flour. White flours have a lot of chemicals in them that will make you gain weight in the long run. Go for the whole-wheat breads because they are loaded with all sorts of vitamins and nutrients that will enhance good health in your body.
